Dori Ten replica of Koguchi's first model 180.
So awesome to see this happening.
Even today, this car looks FRESH.
I hope the staff at Dori Ten continue to follow the evolution of Koguchi's red machine...and update this "replica" accordingly.
I loved it when it was the same as it is here but with the addition of the Kouki bumper, lip and tail lamps.
When that happend way back when, Koguchi was always rockin meshies up front with Pearl White AVS VS5s in the rear; it was AMAZING looking!

How simple drift style used to be! This car makes me wonder if today's pro drift cars aren't over the top a little bit. In theory they should be (money...), but still, you can't beat the simple lines of a 180SX with a bolt-on front splitter, a ducktail spoiler and some 16" rims.

Yea, Koguchi is the MAN; I've long been a fan as well.
I actually live in the SF Bay Area. (East Bay)

You know, I haven't really picked up any Drift mags in a while either...I have tons of Battle Magazine / Dori Tens and Young Version issues from what to me were the "better days of the drift world" anyway.
And honestly, if I'm gonna spend; I'd really rather add to my Nostalgic Hero, Auto Works/Auto Works RETRO CAR and G Works collection...Really, I've always just been way more into old school street rods and of course, (street x ) circuit cars than anything.
Oh, and about Stella; I really should post more about the car. But, I'm just not into the whole " Self Hype " thing, if you will... I'll be sure to put some stuff up soon though, a lot of things to install and do to that car. Just haven't got the time...
Also, hit me up next time you guys roll through the East Bay...We'll hit the Canyons!
